We are pleased to announce the validators selected for the second cycle of our Delegations Program.

Underscoring our commitment to supporting and reinforcing the efforts of validators within our ecosystem, the Interchain Foundation uses its token holdings to recognize, empower, and reward valuable contributions from validators of the interchain. You can learn more about the Delegations Program here.

For this cycle, we will be delegating a total of 8.5 million ATOMs, 63.8 million IRIS and 321k OSMO tokens, across 142 validators on the Cosmos Hub, IRISnet and Osmosis networks.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce the inclusion of Celestia in the Interchain Foundation Delegations Program, effective from this cycle, adding a total of 5 million TIA to the program. 17 validators on Celestia will receive a delegation from us this cycle. Learn more about this in the section below.

View the list of validators who will receive our delegations this cycle:

Cosmos Hub: 102 validators, out of 126 applicants

Osmosis: 34 validators, out of 72 applicants

IRISnet: 6 validators, out of 23 applicants

Celestia: 17 validators

Congratulations to the 159 validators selected for this cycle of delegations!

Read on for information about the Cycle 2 applications process and next steps with deploying our delegations.

About Cycle 2 of the ICF Delegations Program

Our first Delegations Cycle, earlier in 2023, focused solely on the Cosmos Hub. In that first cycle, we had delegated to 93 Cosmos Hub validators, out of 127 applicants.

Since then, based on feedback from the community and other stakeholders, and a thorough discussion on the Cosmos Forum, we improved the policy significantly and expanded the program to Osmosis and IRISnet. You can read more about the changes to the policy for Cycle 2 here.

Validator Applications for this second cycle of our Delegations Program ended on 1st October 2023, with over 697 contributions submitted for consideration.

Each of those contributions was evaluated over the past month to assess the value and impact of each contribution, which determined the final number of tokens allocated for each validator.

One of the key changes in this cycle was a cap on points, based on validators’ voting power rank, that limits the number of points (and thereby delegations) that larger validators can receive. There were many instances where validators hit this cap, and we highlighted this in the lists attached.

The Interchain Foundation is committed to collaboration and community-driven development, and we eagerly await the amazing contributions validators will submit for the next Delegations Cycle. But in the meantime, please share your feedback on our Delegations Program, to help us improve it further.

Next steps: Deployment, Maintaining Delegations & Celestia

Our delegations across the Cosmos Hub, Osmosis and IRISnet will be deployed in November 2023. We will follow up with the community at every step, ensuring timely updates through our social media channels.

Once delegations are fully deployed, Cycle 2 validators will keep these delegations for a period of 1 year, provided they continue to meet the “Criteria to Maintain Delegations.” For validators who were rewarded for the “Upcoming valuable Contributions” category, we will be checking in with them regularly to ensure they are making good progress, and to support them as needed to achieve their projects.

In the coming weeks, we will also highlight some of the incredible contributions that earned points in this cycle.

Including Celestia in the Delegations Program

Alongside the launch of Celestia, we are pleased to announce that we will also be delegating our TIA tokens! With a holding of 5 million TIA tokens, we are keen to start delegating to help secure the network, and as such, there won’t be an application process for Celestia delegations for this cycle.

Instead, we have selected 17 validators to receive TIA delegations from us. These validators were selected based on their performance in Celestia’s testnet Blockspace Race, cross-referenced with their applications to our other delegations program (Cosmos Hub, Osmosis and IRISnet), and then given an equal share of our TIA delegation.

To the interchain and beyond!

As we move into Cycle 2, we at the Interchain Foundation are extremely grateful to the validators who have been pivotal in shaping the advent of the interchain era.

While evaluating the validator applications for Cycle 2, we were pleased to witness the continued growth and increase in contributions from the validators we supported in the first cycle of the program. Their dedication has strengthened the interchain, and laid the foundation for ongoing innovation and collaboration.

To the teams who have participated and those who are now entrusted with our delegations, we extend our support and encouragement. Your role is pivotal in shaping the narrative of the interchain ecosystem, and we are confident in the positive impact you will continue to make.

Together, we are building a future where collaboration and innovation thrive in a limitless IBC-connected world — a testament to the power of united interchain communities.
